So, we finally made it! Amazingly, the kids were perfect on the plane and even napped on the first day here in their strange new house and room! Of course, we haven't attempted to overwhlem them by putting them in their "big kid" beds in their seperate rooms, yet. Don't know how we'll tackle that. Anyway...the house is great and after having a zillion installers, repairmen, and technicians in and out; and unpacking box after box (thank you MOM and Patrick for all your help!!!), we are finally settling in. Don't get me wrong...we are no where NEAR finished. We still have lots of painting to do and a couple of rooms to organize and lots of pictures to hang, but that will all come in time. I'd like to say I'm in no hurry, but I think I really am. I like things DONE. But...with this being our first move with kids, we are trying to take it easy. They love all their new space, back yard, play set, kids in the neighborhood, and toy room. They have adjusted better than I ever could have dreamed. Thank you, God, for your mercy in that area! The weather and scenery is amazing here. Plus, we have all kinds of wildlife in our yard...red and blue birds, rabbits, and a little chipmunk that thinks our home is his. At first it was cute until we found his little droppings in the garage and his scurrying around in there almost scared the poo out of me. Now, Tyler is thinking up a trap for him and has the bb gun loaded just in case (away from the children, of course). We are happy here and the neighbors are MORE than friendly...they are very social here, so right away we feel like we know people. So nice. Well, off to relax in the basement and enjoy Tyler's new Father's Day present...a plasma tv. Ugh!
